Date stamps on saved email

Many users have requested that we store email in Insightly with the date and time that an email was actually sent or received.

Initially, we tried to determine the date an email was actually sent or received by the Insightly user in their own email inbox, rather than the date and time that it was saved to Insightly. That proved difficult to do and sometimes Insightly misinterpreted the date and time by as much as 11 hours due to time zone differences.

Instead, we accurately record the date and time that the Insightly email system receives the message. That is what is displayed in the CRM.
