Finding your API key or URL and resetting your key

Services like Zapier have integrations to help you share information between your accounts on their systems and Insightly.

To set up those connections, you'll need your Insightly API key.

Get your API key

  1. Click the profile icon in Insightly and select User Settings.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and copy the API key, which is a long string of characters.
  3. You can now paste the key into the application that you are connecting to.

Change your API key

After you've shared your API key with another system, you can revoke that access by creating a new API key. Just click the Generate New API Key link to change your key.

You'll have to update any applications with the new key if you still want them to have access to your Insightly data.


Find your API URL


The API is accessible via the following URL:
Users will replace "yourpod#" with the pod assigned to your account.

Your instance's pod can be found by going to User Settings and locating the API URL. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and it can be found in the API Section.


For example, if your pod is ‘na1’ then your API’s URL would be
