How to create a Prospect

Anytime you identify a person who has shown interest in your business, you'll want to add them into Insightly Marketing as a Prospect. Based on their actions, you can give them a score and grade them on how likely they are to move forward with your services.

There are multiple ways to create a Prospect record.

To create a new Prospect record:

  1. Select Prospects from the navigation bar. Click New Prospect.
  2. Enter your Prospect's details. An email address is required.
  3. If relevant, give your Prospect a score. Your company should define the scale first. For example, you might use a scale of 1 to 100, with 1 being unlikely to buy and 100 being ready to pass on to sales.
  4. Click Save.

If you use Insightly CRM, you can set the CRM Connector to create a Prospect when a Lead or Contact is created in the CRM.
