How to create an unsubscribe link in an Email template

Some of your Prospects may want to unsubscribe from Emails you send. Add an unsubscribe link to allow them to remove themselves from the List of Prospects that were sent the campaign.

In addition to the link you can create and add to the body of your template, the footer of each email will contain an unsubscribe link. If you have added your company's address in Company Settings, it will also appear in the footer.

Users that click on an unsubscribe link will be directed to an unsubscribe landing page. They will need to click the Unsubscribe from this List button to remove themselves from the List.

Legally the default unsubscribe link cannot be removed or replaced. Users can add additional links, but the default must remain.

To create an unsubscribe link:

  1. Create a new Email or Email template.
  2. Add a new row.
  3. Drag the Text content option to the row.
  4. Click the Text box.
  5. Click the Special links dropdown. Select Frequently Used > Unsubscribe Link.
  6. Click the link icon.
  7. If you need to make any edits, such as the link's text or the link type, you can do so here. When you're finished, click Ok.

Unsubscribe footer

The name and address are pulled from System Settings > Company Settings.

If you don't want this information to be in the unsubscribe footer, you will need to remove the information from the Company Settings page.
