After you've created a Journey record, you'll use the Journey Builder to configure the steps. There are three types of steps:
- An update or task you want to occur to a Prospect or user, such as sending an email or increasing a score.
- Prompt that sets off an action, such as a Prospect opening an email.
- Verifies a Prospect's field values before allowing them to move forward in the Journey.
Below you'll find a description of each type of step that can be added.
An Email will be sent to the Prospect. The user building the Journey can choose which email and schedule the send date and time.
Add tags to the Prospect.
Remove tags from the Prospect.
Increases or decreases the Prospect's score.
Assigns the Prospect record to another user.
|Change Prospect Field||
Updates a field's information. For example, changing a Prospect's "Opted Out" field from unchecked to checked.
Sends a notification to a specified user.
|Add to List||
Adds the Prospect to a specified List.
|Remove from List||
Removes the Prospect from a specified List.
|Convert to Lead||
Creates a Lead record in Insightly CRM for the Prospect. The Prospect record will still exist in Insightly Marketing. The two records will not share the same record ID.
|Execute Lambda Function||
Creates a trigger to execute a specific Lambda function.
|Create CRM task||
Creates a task in Insightly CRM, assigns it to a CRM user, and links it to the Lead or the Contact associated with the Prospect from the Journey action.
|Email Opened||When the Prospect opens the Email you sent, the next step in the Journey will be set off.|
|Email Link Clicked||When the Prospect has clicked on a link in the Email you sent, the next step in the Journey will be set off.|
|Check Prospect Field||Checks the information entered on a field, such as the country they live in.|
|Check Prospect Grade||Checks the Prospect's grade. This is helpful if you only want to target Prospects who meet a certain grade threshold.|
|Check Prospect Score||Checks the Prospect's score. This is helpful if you only want to target Prospects who meet a certain score threshold.|
|Check Prospect Tag||Checks if the Prospect has been assigned a specific tag.|
|Check List Membership||Checks if the Prospect is included in a List you specify.|
|Check Date and Time||Checks the current date and time.|
