How to embed a video into a Landing Page Template

When your building a Landing Page Template, you can embed videos from services such as YouTube and Vimeo. Users can do this either by using the Video content block or the HTML content block.

YouTube video engagement

Insightly captures play, pause, and end events when a Prospect interacts with YouTube videos embedded on Landing Pages. You could gauge a Prospect’s level of interest based on their engagement with the videos and increase or decrease their Prospect Score accordingly. Multiple videos can be embedded on the Landing Page.

The title of the video hyperlinks to the YouTube video being tracked. The event also includes a timestamp in seconds in which the video event that occurred, the YouTube video ID, the video action, and the video category.

How to add a Video content block

  1. Start building your template. Go to the Design step.

  2. Drag and drop a new Row.

  3. Drag and drop the Video content box.

  4. Click the Video content box within the Landing Page Template to pull up Content Properties.

  5. Add a YouTube or Vimeo URL. Once you paste in a valid URL, the content block will display a cover image for your video. The editor can’t provide a cover image for password-protected videos.

  6. Customize the appearance of the play button icon that will appear on the cover image. Select the icon type, color, and size.

  7. When you are satisfied, save your design and finish building the template.

How to embed a video using HTML

  1. Start building your template. Go to the Design step.

  2. Drag and drop a new Row.

  3. Drag and drop the HTML content box.

  4. Click the HTML box to pull up the source code editor.

  5. Locate and copy the embedding code from your video sharing platform.
    For example, if you need to embed a YouTube video, you would go to your video, click share, and select Embed to pull up the code.

  6. Paste your embed code into the editor.

  7. When you are satisfied, save your design and finish building the template.
