Unable to export contacts

 I am unable to export contacts to a CSV. Previously I was able to successfully complete this but now I receive a notice in Insightly that I will receive an email shortly, which I never receive. I have checked all junk/spam folders and added Insighltly to my safe list. I also logged in to my colleague's account and attempted to export but she did not receive an email either. Please advise.

  • I am having the same problem.  I've followed the guidance around ensuring that the insightly.com and insight.ly domains have been added to the approved senders list within my email account, but this did not solve the problem.

    Insightly Support Team, please do not post another response simply instructing us to ensure the emails are not caught in a spam filter.  All other communications from Insightly (including signing up for Insightly Support) come through just fine.  Something is not working with the contact export feature.  Would you please investigate and provide us with true technical support?

    Thanks so much for your patience. The issue with exports has now been resolved. Please try exporting your contacts to CSV again and keep in touch if you run into any trouble.

  • Hi, i had till today a button to export my contacts to my Gmail, so it will appear immediately in my phone book, synced with my smartphone. This button dissapeared today and XML export seems not to be working. I see in contacts a new contacts i created today, but i can't export only those so they will appear as well in my Gmail contacts. What can i do to make this button "export to Gmail" to appear back? Thanks!

    Our records show that you don't have export permissions provided to you. You can ask your Account Owner or any Admin on your account to grant you these permission under System Settings > Users

    We did some tests and the exports are being sent out so the email may be being blocked. Below are some steps to help the email reach your inbox.

    1) Check your spam folder. If the messages are there, you can usually mark them as "not spam", which will help future messages to go directly to your inbox.

    2) Try adding the e-mail "notifications@insightly.com" as a contact in your email program’s contacts list. Most email programs will allow messages from your contacts to pass through any filters. In my experience, this is usually the most reliable fix.

    3) Add our domain name (insightly.com and insight.ly) to your approved senders list (whitelist). This process is a bit different for each email program.

    4) Check to be sure that these e-mails are not being quarantined by your e-mail host. You may need to reach out to your e-mail provider to check this.

    There are a few other steps we can try but let's start with this.

  • Hi till about 2 weeks ago i was exporting contacts from Insightly to my Gmail account, very usable feature for me.  For some reason this is not working for me anymore. When i do full data export - i do get an email with option to download a file with full backup, but when i go to Contacts--> "Export Contacts And Notes"-->"Export Contacts To Google", for some reason i don't get any new email and no new contacts appear in my contact list in Gmail.

    PLS help!

    We just pushed an update that should have resolved this. If you are still experiencing issues please follow these steps to make sure you have a good connection:

    • Log in to the incorrect Gmail account
    • Go to My Account
    • Sign in and Security
    • Apps with account access
    • Manage Apps
    • Click on Insightly
    • Click Remove access.
