Recurring Reminders

Hello,

Does anyone know if Insightly has a way to set recurring reminders for task?

I would like to set a daily task but have it reminder every day at a specific time. Ive been messing around with the task options but have not seen anything past setting one reminder with a date and time.

Thanks.

  • Hi Joshua.

When you set up a new task with a due date, the following will appear:

You just ned to check of the required reoccurance.

  • Hello Melissa,

Thanks for the reply. If I pick "Every Day" under Repeat, is it repeating the same Task or the same Reminder or both?

For example, the example you provided has a start date of 01/28, reminder 01/28 and if I pick Repeast Every Day, will I have a new task tomorrow with a Start Date 01/29 and a Reminder 01/29 @ 8:00AM?

  • Hi Joshua,

I think you are asking if you will get two reminders? I think you will get one at 8:00am.

Also, something I should mention, you should mark the task completed to see the reminder.

  • Hello,

And how can we limit the Repeat reminder to say stop after 10 times or 30 days as i checked and was not able to find a stop or unitl date?

  • Is it possible to set recurring reminders on an hourly basis on the same day examples repeat every 2 hours?

  • I need recurring reminders for tasks.  I set them 3 months in advance with a repeat every two weeks.  I've set repeats in Insightly but only receive the first notification.  Does the first reminder/task need to be completed before the next reminder is sent?  The whole point of this for me is that I'm super busy; I just need the email notification without any additional work.  Am I missing something?  If I have to manually clear the reminder task this doesn't save me any time.  Advice appreciated.

  • I am facing the same issue repeatedly. During training we were inf that once a task is set to complete all future reminder will stop automatically but the CRM clones / duplicates the task and creates new ones once i change the task status to COMPLETE  totally increasing my workload.

Can you provide an example of a record this affected?

  • Hi Monica,
You do need to mark a task completed for the subsequent reminder to occur.

  • I have set up multiple tasks with reminders.  I only receive the one reminder, never recurring.  Is there a setting over and above the obvious?

  • Hi Monica,

You have to set it to repeat - see picture below. And you must mark complete before you get the next reminder.

  • With all due respect, the purpose of a reminder is for people who have heavy work loads and the reminder keeps them on track.  By having to "complete" the task reminder for the system to generate the "repeat" is a time soaker and not a good use of my time as a business owner.

I'm better off keeping it on a hard calendar.

With the new interface and the continued work arounds, this is not exactly what I signed up for.  Having the email sent WITHOUT having to complete a task would be a huge improvement.  This is a formal request to address this issue.

  • Hi Monica,

You might want to Submit a Request . This is found at the top of the screen once you log it.
