  • Hello Matthew,

I apologize that you're having trouble with your payment. If you don't mind I'd like to provide some additional information on how our billing system works.

The system will attempt to bill your credit card on your monthly Insightly billing day. If the card fails for any reason (incorrect card number or expiration date, for example), you'll be automatically re-billed. You'll receive an email notifying you of each attempt.

To correct any credit card issues or update your credit card information, please review our article on Changing billing or invoice information for all the steps and screenshots of this process.

    Hope that helps!

  • Hello Matthew,

It seems that at one point your Insightly Account was on a "Free Trial." When your Free Trial expires you'll want to adjust your Insightly Account to meet the "Free" Insightly plan limits.

Here are the account limits for the Free plan:

    • Maximum of two users. (you currently have 4 users)
    • 2500 records or less.
A record is any item stored in Insightly such as contacts, projects, organizations, opportunities, notes, files, tasks, events, and emails.
    • Maximum of 200 MB of storage.
You can read more about the limits and ways of reducing your storage use here: Insightly Storage Limits.
    • 10 custom fields (2 per record type)
    • 5 email templates

Once your account no longer exceeds any of the limits of the Free plan, you'll be able to select the Free option on that Subscription Plan page.

    Here's how:

    1) Go to the Profile icon in the upper right corner of your Insightly and select the Billing & Account option. Here's a pro-tip: Take note of your account statistics, they'll come in handy later :-)
    2) On that screen, choose the Billing Details tab on the upper left.
    3) Select the Free option on the Subscription Plan page.

If you’d like to export a copy of your data before deleting it, here’s how to do it.
