Insightly API suddenly stopped working

I'm receiving authorization failed: api.insight.ly returned (429) Error

It has been working fine for several weeks.  But suddenly enountered this error at about 9pm today.

Any outages on your end?

  • Hi Mike,

    It seems like you have hit your limit for requests to our API per day. HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests)

    For more details, please find the limits that apply to your plan type under  "Rate Limiting / Throttling Requests"

    Once again, we are getting that notice.  However, according to our logs we are sending less than 50 requests per day, spread out through various times of the day. 

    Is there a log available, so that we might be able to identify what these requests are and where they are coming from?

    Unfortunately, we don't keep logs of individual API requests. However, if you would like to open a support ticket, we could look at your Insightly account and see how many requests we've received from your account during the past 24 hours.

    Let me know if you have any more questions.
