Google Sync Issue/Bug

 

Hi, a bit of a technical issue here so please read the details below:

Originally for the past few weeks, whenever we upload or update a contact on Insightly, our google contacts also get updated and in-turn our iPhone/Mac contacts. However, we just did a big clean of our database by deleting all contacts from Insightly, and importing a whole new CSV.

Ever since we did the mass import 2 days ago, insightly has stopped syncing with google contacts and iPhone etc. When going to 'User Settings' on Insightly to check the 'Google Sync', we do not have the original options to resync the contacts list with google. 

Upon trying to link the google account with insightly again, we get an error (please see the attached screenshot). Could you please advise us on how to fix this so that we can resync our contacts?

  • Hi Robert:

    This looks like Insightly hasn't been given authorizations to connect to your Google Account. To check this you'll want to go to your Google account and click My Account > Sign in & Security > Connected Spps & Sites > Manage Apps > Insightly.

    Please let us know what you find.

    Thanks for your reply. I would like to ask - should this be done from G Suite or Gmail? Also, there is no 'My Account' tab in either of the two - could you kindly advise on how to find this please?

  • Hi Robert,

    This would be done from your Gmail or G Suites.

    If you select the waffle icon at the top of your Gmail or G Suites screen, you should see the "My Account" icon in this list.

    This example is from Gmail:


    From here you'll select Sign in & Security > Connect Apps & Sites > Manage Apps (this is towards the bottom of the screen) > Insightly
