Team scheduling

Hi, I have a small mobile workforce. Im looking for an app that wil integrate with projects in insightly.

I need to be able to schedule my team to various projects with address details throughout the week.

Does anyone have a similar setup and recommendation?

  • Wy can't you use the insightly app?

I suggest to make tasks linked to the projects and organisation and assign the tasks to a team member or team. In the app when you open the task under links you see the project and everything that you linked to that task.

  • Thanks for your suggestion, unfortunately I'm looking for more of an integration with drag and drop style scheduling system. If I assign the tasks to users I cannot see their schedule, as only able to see other team members events.

I was looking for something similar to deputy!?

  • Hi Ben,

I had a look at Deputy but I don't see how you can drag and drop tasks on a schedule? But if you mean the way they use drag and drop as a general usage thing then I understand what you mean.

If deputy does what you want but there is no integration yet? Then maybe you should look at Zapier. They have an integration with Deputy and with Insightly. You could use that as middle ware.

If not and you are looking for something new I would be able to create an webapplication using the API to do what you want but I think that is not within the scope of this platform.

  • Hi Jeroen,

    thanks for for your feedback.

I have had a demo from Deputy today and just waiting for them to come back to me on how their integration will work, as it is currently being built.

Essentially we we would need a new location created in deputy every time a new project is created in Insightly. This would allow us to schedule team over various projects (locations). From looking at available triggers and actions in Zapier this doesn't seem possible?

i would be interested to see what you could propose? It would need be be accessible by a mobile app for the team in the field.

  • Hi Ben,

I would still suggest to use the Insightly app for the team members in the field because developing an mobile app is very time consuming and there for expensive.

I suggest that we continue this discussion off-line so drop me an email at jeroen@sspnet.nl and I will get back to you.
