Email Verification Not Working

 Please look at Request #168265. I cannot install MailChimp integration. I keep getting the message "could not verify installation, please try connecting again". The User Settings --> Email Accounts page shows the email as being verified. I have deleted and re-entered my email account info in Insightly 4 times over the last 2 days. Support replied 3 times that my email has been verified. Yet when I again attempt to install the MailChimp integration following each notification from support, I get the same verification failure mail message. Whatever support is doing is not working. What can I do to successfully install the MailChimp integration?

  • I was using the wrong API key. It has to be the MailChimp API key.

    Are you still having trouble Julie? If so, my recommendation would be to reset the API connection between the two programs. To do so, in your MailChimp account click on 'Your Name' in the top-left, then click 'Account Settings.'Then click 'Extras,' then 'API Keys.' Then click 'Create A Key' to generate a new API key.

    Once you have that key, go back into your Insightly account. Click on the Profile Icon in the top right, then select 'System Settings,' then 'MailChimp Integration.' Delete the API there and paste in the new one that you have just generated, then hit 'Save Settings.'

    After you have done that, I would log out of your Insightly account then log back in. Hopefully doing this will fix the connection! If not, please let us know and we will continue to investigate.

  • Hi! I also get the same error message: "could not verify installation, please try connecting again" when trying to connect MailChimp. I have tried to create a new API-key in MailChimp as well as logging in and out from Insightly, but still get the same error message. Please advice.

  • Hello, I have generated several APIs in mailchimp. Logged in and out and back in to Insightly before entering a new one.

    Each and every time I get "Could not verify installation, please try connecting again"

    We are exhibiting at an event this Thursday and need to send mail shot to prospective clients today...please advise urgently.
