Spaces in tags are not allowed?

Hi, I'm seeing this error from the https://api.insight.ly/v2.2/Contacts endpoint: "Spaces in tags are not allowed"
 
But it seems to only happen for new tags. I have old tags in Insightly that have spaces and when updating them in the API, there's no issue.
 
How do I fix this? What do I tell my clients who have spaces in their tags?

  • Just wondering if anyone can help me with this. I have a customer waiting for a response and am getting desperate to fix this issue in my integration.

  • Hi Clinton,

    Yes, spaces for newly created tags are not allowed. We did not enforce that during update, so you can modify existing tag names if you needed to. 

    Please enforce the same on Insert and apologies for the confusion.

    I cannot delete a task category, those who are doubling like "Email" and "email", or "Call" and an other category with the same name "Call". I would like to delete one of them.
