Split Invoicing / 2 stage invoicing

We are currently looking for an option to set up a 2 way invoicing in Insightly.

We would like to set up two separate invoice in one project. One is from the start of the pipeline and the other is at the end of the pipeline. Would this be possible with Insightly and would it be doable when Xero as well?

Will appreciate any help on the topic.
