Phone and Insightly?

Hi Brenda

Is it possible to connect Insightly with a VoIP-system at the office? So that incoming or outgoing calls are recorded and linked with contacts or organisations?

    I've been told a phone/voice feature is on our roadmap! I have a meeting with Product tomorrow and will find out more details. Thanks!

  • Hey Sami. The new feature is not fully baked yet, but here are some more details: It'll allow you to dial your contacts and receive calls from the Insightly app. Calls will be recorded and linked to the contact associated with the call and the opportunity or lead, if available. :)

  • I love that idea, Brenda. Any idea on a time frame? We've got clients we've set up on Insightly who would go nuts over that feature.

    As you describe it, it seem to be very helpful for us. Our sales force has to report all incoming calls, classify them and at the end record if the customer buyed or not. Won or Lost :)

  • There are VoIP systems out there that will work with Insightly "out of the box"... 

    It is easy to find a system with basic integration e.g. screen pops and dialing that will work with certain CRM's. 

    If you need more info, let me know. 

    Also, Insightly, please keep your VoIP integration as "open" as possible. I dont want to have only one choice for a phone system. And Please keep your URL's open with record numbers and URL search capabilities.

  • JEKelly:  We use RingCentral which integrates well with our Business Contact Manager in terms of our CRM phone needs.  But BCM is buggy and we want to move away from it.  Insightly fits our needs and we could move over 100% if we could just get contact information (call history would be nice too)  to pop when the phone rings.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

  • Hi Insightly!

    We are looking for a new CRM that fits our needs and Insightly looks really great, BUT..  we also need Voip / Call integration to see who's calling (on-screen) when an existing customer calls in, OR/AND that we can call from the CRM view, after clicking on the call button..  and yes, we also need call ins/ out reports (duration) and won/lost ;-)

    please let me know the status or eta of this feature,

  • Hi guys,

    This thread is pretty old now but I did want to let you know that Kixie has a voip integration with Insightly. We use Insightly's apis (which are great) to automatically update activities to leads and contacts -- and a whole lot more.

    Hopefully this isn't too forward - just trying to help out those whom are looking for options to make Insightly even better!
