Leads for all customers

  • Yes, I was disappointed when this upgrade was not made available to all levels of the paid service. After all, tracking leads is a basic function of a CRM. I've found ways around it by using tagging, but an integrated function would definitely enhance the customer experience.

  • YES PLEASE.... we created a LEAD Management step in all of our Pipelines (as a work around). Needless to say there is many steps that can be automated IF Insightly makes it usable by all users. More sales = more use of the CRM. Please make this part of all paid packages.

  • Yes! I was disappointed when the last upgrade didn't include leads for all paid subscribers. It should be a feature that anyone paying for your service has access to use.

  • YES.  I was disappointed and a little angry that leads were not made available to us because we're not on one of the newer paid plans, even though we've been on a paid plan for several years now at the same level as the newer plans.  The Leads function would be very helpful.

  • Agreed...this is a basic function of a CRM platform and should be available to all paid plans. Having to find workarounds for basic functionality isn't fun when you are paying for the software.

  • I was very disappointed to find out Leads wasn't available to everyone, really a CRM with out Leads is like a peanut butter sandwich without the jam.

    Totally agree with Jeff, me also I used workaround (like tags and custom fields, however leads tracking should be a base feature in a CRM!

  • Having used a CRM offering Leads to Insightly is a disappointment.  Adding this function would enhance this CRM significantly - especially to those where sales is their livelihood.

  • It is frustrating to see that all paid plans do not benefit from this feature. It is one if the basic features expected from a CRM. This needs to be added!

  • I agree with all of the above. I feel like I was kinda forced to join insightly on the higher plan (even though I'm just starting off) because I want to use Leads from teh get go.  It seems stupid to not have 'leads' but to have 'opportunities'..  I mean don't leads come BEFORE opportunities.  To me it just smells like .. well if you want a basic feature that you'd expect from a CRM you're just gonna have to subscribe to the higher price plan, that or disable yourself a bit and have to use work arounds etc.

    I have some very big news. After taking in everyone's feedback, Insightly has decided to make Leads available to every customer. A formal announcement will go out tomorrow morning but we wanted to share it here, in the community, with you first. Many thanks for the votes and comments that communicated to us that this was a priority.

  • Will you be allowing people to downgrade and issuing refunds for those people that have only paid for your service for leads?

  • Hi Jeff. Thanks for the question. If a customer wants, they can downgrade their account and an automatic pro-rated credit will be applied.

    I'm starting using leads and one question that comes up to me now when importing data is: how can Insightly check for possible duplication with already existing Contacts and Organizations?

    I'm still not seeing "Leads" as an option.  Has it not been added for all customers yet.  We have one of the old plans.

  • Hi Nancy,

    You may need to enable Leads. Go to System Settings --> Leads Management and check the box. Leads will then appear in your left hand navigation bar. Note to everyone: Only the administrator of the account can enable Leads and set up the Leads Source and Leads Status. You can read more about this in our FAQ Setting Up and Using Leads.
