Visual aid for identifying records that need attention

This question has been asked to be by multiple customers, and as a heavy user of Insightly myself, it is also something I would personally like to see.

It would be excellent to see at a glance, which Leads, Opportunities, Organizations, etc.. have had no activity in [x] amount of days.

An Insightly competitor has a nice feature that notifies users of records that have no next step scheduled. If I could see which Opportunities have no next step scheduled and/or have had no activity for the last [x] days, it would help me to be much more efficient and timely in following up with Opportunities and Leads.

Hello everyone, I am pleased to let you know that we have recently added Last and Next Activity Dates to all of our main object types in Insightly: Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Projects and Organizations allowing you to filter and prioritize records that need attention. Please read about this latest update here: https://www.insightly.com/product-news/next-last-activity-dates/

  • Agreed.. certainly something useful. Long term, I am a little nervous about how I will ever find assets (contacts/orgs) that are "old".

What would define as "no activity"? Is it that nothing about the contact/lead/etc has been editted in a while? What happens, for example, if a project connected to a contact is udated? Does something like that bump the latest activity date?

  • Agreed. Insightly is database software. It uses binary data bits...0's and 1's. It needs both to work :). Successful salespeople do too - they need to know what they 'are not' doing just as much as they need to know what they 'are' doing.

This feature would increase accuracy, completeness, productivity, evaluations, and reporting for field, middle management, corporate, and owners/shareholders - it's another Grand Slam Idea :)

  • This is a very important feature to have. I have transitioned from using an excel spreadsheet for making calls and whilst insightly has some great advantages, I can see that there is a risk that I forget to create a new task for a prospect when one is completed.

I'm already starting to look at alternative products for this feature

  • This is a killer feature that we utilize in other CRMs - the "freshness" of a lead or contact is quite important :)

  • Yes this is the second most needed feature of Insightly.

There should be an easy way to generate a report that shows the last time a customer was any of the following:

    1. called
    2. emailed
    3. contacted in any way
    4. updated in any way

That way you could easily run a report of say:

    • "Customers not contacted in over 30 days" - Great for ensuring touch points are being made
    • Customers who have not been called in over 60 days - Great to ensure that actual relationships are being maintained, not just touch points.
    • Customers who's information has not been updated in 6 months - Assuming you didn't call them based on the above reports, this would be good to make sure these contacts are still actually contacts.

  • Thanks to everyone for adding your comments and votes to this request. If you haven't yet heard, we are revamping our UI for list view in an effort to give you new ways to customize how you want to see your list view -- this includes sorting and filtering. Stay tuned.

  • Thanks for expressing interest, lorin! This community is the first place Product will turn to when they need volunteers to beta test a new feature. You'll see something like this posted under Product Feedback & Requests: " Help Insightly beta test iOS and Android mobile apps". Maria or I will also reach out to individuals on related threads so we'll definitely make sure you're included if feedback is needed. Thank you!

  • This only seems to work for when a task or email has been added but not for notes, if notes is the only thing that was updated can we not create a list of all contacts or organisations that have had no notes or any updates in 90 days? or what ever time frame? We want to be able to build a list of anyone/company that has not been in contact in the last 3 months for example and call them and or email them. I have looked and look at the links like https://www.insightly.com/product-news/next-last-activity-dates/ but not making any progress.
