More key information in Insightly notification emails for Followed items

I automatically Follow any Insightly item I post to or update which results in a large number of Insightly notifications that are generated when those Followed items are updated by someone else.

It would be extremely helpful if these emails had more descriptive Subject content so it's easy to tell Who updated it for example. This causes these email notifications to be more spam than actionable:

  1. I get these notifications even for my own post, Insightly should be smart enough not to generate an Followed item update if I'm the one doing the posting in the first place!
  2. using the Email update example below it's impossible to tell who made the update which would be key in determining if I should click through to see the actual update
  3. it would be great to include the Opportunity 'name' in the Subject line so it's easy to see which Opportunity, or other Insightly 'object' (Company, Email, Note, etc...) was actually updated

As it stands now I have to really think hard about what the Insightly Followed item notification refers to and whether it's the result of my own update or not!

Example:

Subject: Email added to Opportunity

Body:

Hi Graham,

The email Follow up on new line items to the PO has been added to the opportunity xyz.

    Hi Graham,

We hear you on this one. We have to make some significant structural changes to the way notifications work in Insightly and the information we capture (who made the change) before we can fulfill your request but it's definitely something we are aware of.

  • I second Graham's request.  Notifications would be a lot more helpful if there were more detail - WHO (not me!!!), WHAT (email, note, etc), WHEN (drop date/time into notification, not just email header)

  • Agreed, we need more detail in these notifications....as they are currently I have to take time to login to Insightly to see exactly what happened.

  • It would be extremely helpful if Insightly email notifications were more descriptive in the subject content to provide information on "who" updated and "what" the content update is about.  These notifications come into my email inbox even if I am the person who made the update.

This appears to have been reported by other Insightly users - any chance you can move this up on your priority list to resolve?

    Thanks!
