  • Hi aw,

Thanks for posting your feature request for Leads. Sorting and list views for leads is coming! In the meantime, here's a few customers who also had sorting requests in case you'd like to vote or comment. Thanks!

  • We are new to using Insightly and see that these features are still not available.  We want to sort our leads in alpha by organization.  I see the last comment was almost a year ago.  Any update on this?

  • Hi Lexi,

Welcome to our Community! We don't have an update for our sorting; however some users have been selecting the letters on the right to view by alphabetical order.

  • Brenda and Nora - Thanks for your help.

Looking through the help forums it's absolutely amazing to me that basic lead management features like sorting have not been implemented despite multiple requests over the course of more than a year.

I was excited to use Insightly when I first signed up, but my inability to do even basic sorting of my lead list has forced me to throw up my hands and choose another vendor (most likely ZoHo).

  • Hi JL,

Thank you for your comment! I know Nora offered the alphabetical view but you might also want to look at what our new Advanced reporting feature can do. If you haven't played with it yet, it does offer lead filtering capabilities that may truly meet your needs.

We're incredibly thankful to have this forum where customers can tell us which improvements are important to them. We just receive so many suggestions, that we look at votes and comments to help guide us on what we'll plan next. Now that our leads feature has been out for a bit, we are taking account of customer votes to show us where we should focus our efforts next.

If you do end up moving to another CRM, I hope you'll still keep abreast of how we're improving so that you'll consider coming back as a customer one day.

  • Brenda -

I appreciate the kind response.  You represent Insightly well.

As participants in other threads related to this topic have noted, we don't need a complicated advanced reporting workaround.  All Insightly needs to do is add VERY basic sort links as you'd find on any website anywhere that generates data in list form.  I am a beginning developer (at best) and I learned how to do that while building simple apps in PHP.

In any case, I moved on to Zoho yesterday and have been very happy with what I've found so far.  Beyond the simple must-have sort functionality I'm also able to use a variety of features that Insightly simply doesn't offer.  From what I understand I can stay on the free option after my trial runs out, but even if I have to upgrade the basic plan at $12 per user per month is totally reasonable.

I hope you can share this message with whomever is running product at Insightly.  Not clear whether it's a resource issue, or a philosophical product issue, but in any case not being able to have access to simple features like list sorting is leading potential Insightly customers to look for other options.

  • Hi JL,

Thank you for your equally kind response. I do know that once this development work that is requiring all of our resources is finally complete, that we'll be able to move forward in a much more efficient way and the next immediate step for us will be to address many of the basic suggestions you've seen in this forum. Still, I will ensure your comment is shared. Thank you for being past Insightly customer and we will be here, should you decide to return!
