Can someone PLEASE fix Insightlys ability to attach more than just one document in an email?

  • Hi Ingo,

    You can select multiple files using your mouse or keyboard. These files will then be uploaded to Insightly in one batch. You can view the article with more details about attaching a document to an email.

  • The linked method does not address the issue of attaching multiple files to an email in Insightly - I cannot see how to attach more than one file to an email. The obvious work-around is not to create the email in Insightly (and therefore lose the template capability, bulk-emailing etc), but this is sub-optimal, to say the least.

  • In case anyone else is looking at this thread in future, I got an answer today from Insightly Support: "If you want to attach multiple files to an email template, you can do this by selecting multiple files when you upload the attachments."

    In other words, make sure the files you want to attach to an email template are in the same folder, control-click to select all the ones you want, and attach them. My error was in trying to select one file at a time, in which case - non-intuitively - each new file replaced the previous one.

  • I am still having trouble attaching more than 1 document.  If the documents are right above or below the original document, then I can do a Shift-click and get them together.  However, if there is a document at the top and one towards the bottom of the file, I can't do it.  This is very disappointing.  Please help!

  • UHG - this is my problem too!  Let me tell you that I have to make extra copies of the files that I want to attach, add them to a new folder, attach them, send my email and then delete them!  come one...seriously Insightly?  Sadly, Salesforce's song and dance seems to be looking better and better =(

  • Hi there - I can attach the files to the email, but they seem to be corrupted by the process - and lose their file associations (these are .pdfs), and don't even give you image application associations.

    This is a pretty big barrier to using this feature of Insightly - one of our main use-cases.
