Starring a Lead does not carry over to other users

When one of our users sends a message to one of our leads the quickest way to identify that lead is to star the lead on the left side of the lead list.  The problem is that the star does not carry over to the other users to see,  Is this someone else is experiencing and is there a better way to identify these?  We are getting a great deal of responses to a offer we have mailed out and need an efficient way to identify these leads.  Thanks for your input

  • Tags may work well here. They carry over across users, and can be flexible enough to be specific to any action that needs to be done in the future. Someone else may have a better thought, but this may be a good start for you.

  • Jim,

Using the Star feature is the same as using the Follow feature, which only works to notify individual users. Jeff's suggestion will be the best way to quickly signify that the lead is interested in a specific offer. The only suggestion I would add would be to ensure your people use the SAME tag name consistently, so when you run reports or filters you will be sure to get all the leads that are interested.

  • Hi Jim,

I only have 1 user and can not try this myself... but I was wondering if 1 user tags a contact / lead / etc, will all other users be able to see that tag? Also, will other users see all the tag suggestions as they type in the tag box?

    Thanks.

  • Users can see all tags on the right sidebar, and select the specific tag from there.
