feature request: add custom photo to lead

It would be so helpful if there was functionality to add a custom photo to the leads in Insightly. All of the other features (contacts, organizations, opportunities) have this feature. It's a very helpful reminder of the brand or contact.

Currently, we actually work around this feature by printing the page and attaching the correct photo - it's a frustrating process and major adoption hurdle with our team.

    Thank you all for suggestions! you can now update an image for a lead. We have taken your recommendations as far as how to make changing an image easier in consideration.

  • I agree. It seems like a bit of an oversight.

    A thought:  Perhaps it really is an omission-by-design to reduce the size of the database. Photos are after all much larger than the text-links that point to external profile pictures .

    Whatever the reason though, it is very frustrating.

    Please can we have a definitive answer on this Insightly - Thanks.

  • "omission-by-design to reduce the size of the database" ... doubt it. They make their money by people needing more space. So they would not care. And in other parts of Insightly, they force you to create records that you don't need. Within leads, when one gets "converted", an opportunity is created even if you do not need one. This creates extra records, taking up more space that you have to pay for. And they do not seem to care about that. I would assume this was just something that have not developed yet.

  • Hello everyone, this is very high on our priority to address and we should be adding ability to add photos to leads within a month if not sooner. Lead management is so important to our customers, that we wanted it to get it to customers as fast as we could, postponing some of the smaller features like photos for subsequent releases. Thank you for your patience with us as we complete phasing in of lead management for Insightly!

    I look forward to seeing that. I have a demo for our directors next week and having logos and customer images in there will increase the impact and consequently the likelyhood of them giving me the go-ahead to adopt Insightly for our company.

    While you guys/gals are working on this, can you also update how you change the photo of things in the system. For example: When editing or viewing a contact, you have to click the actions dropdown, and then click the Change Contact Image button. Most sites that we all use now allow you to click on the image itself to either view a larger version of the photo or change it altogether.

  • @Jan, the feature is already live.

    In the web app:

    Go to a Lead, Click the Actions menu and select Change Lead Image.

    In the mobile app:

    Go to a Lead, Tap the image in the Header of the detail (with three people icon) and you can set am image from a camera or library of your phone.

  • Was this resolved? I noticed that when I'm in a contact, I need to save a photo to add it to that contact? Repeat that 6K times?
