Just wanted to make sure everyone knew that the request to add contact, lead fields (including custom fields) to email templates has been completed and shipped. Thanks!

  • I 100% agree with this. We have custom fields with specific data about someone's account within our custom system. We plan to send out reminder emails to multiple contacts a few times a month, and that email must include their custom data.

Krzysztof, I thought that this would just be an option until you pointed it out. Thank you for bringing it up.

    Plus One for me.

Some linked data concerning users is high-priority for me as well; most importantly, their organization name.

  • It would be nice to be able to add a picture (company logo) in the email template as well.

  • Hi everyone! Just a quick thank you for your adding your requests to Product Feedback and for using your voting powers to show us what features are important to you. Lots of good things to consider for email templates!

  • There is already some sign that this feature has been developed halfway - the tags are created when you attempt to add other data fields into the template. This shouldn't take long to do - quick win, massive return - please do this!

  • yep please.

Also really important to be able to include the RECORD ID of the contact in email templates.... as this is the absolute reference/unique key to the Contact.

  • Email templates are much more useful if you can use them for many functions.  its not just for mailing it should be for forms needed.  I have many manufactures that require quotes that need all the contact data process a quote request.  I end up having to go to outlook and then copying and pasting and then forwarding to Insightly.  Copying the fields in Insightly does not work well.

  • A method of designing a professional email template is much needed.

  • Hi, its great to see you added support for more fields then first and last name, however, is it possible to add custom user defined fields? I.e these http://support.insight.ly/hc/en-us/articles/204061084-Setting-up-custom-fields ?

  • Hi Marcel:

Adding Custom Fields to email templates is not a feature but thank you for letting us know that this is something you would like to see. Please continue adding your ideas to our Community, to let us know what's important to you!

  • What is the status of adding our logo and pictures of our guys to the email?  We send an email when an estimate is scheduled that includes a pic of the person the customer will be meeting with.  I don't see a way to do this in Insightly's email template and we would really like to keep do everything through insightly instead of bouncing between programs.  I think everyone would also agree that it is very important to be able to have the company logo on the email, as well.

  • I see I can add custom fields to the body of an e-mail template.

Why can't I add the Custom Field, i.e., Deal Name, to the Subject line of the email template?
