Communications platform incl IP-Telephony / VOIP

Wanted feature:

Linking to communications platforms (Skype, Hangout, VOIP, andy PBX) to Insightly, and:
call directly from the CRM (and record the conversation, no need of mine)
link to lead's/contact's/opportunity's/project's details

    Below is the response I received from Insightly regarding when the telephony features will be added to their system.

    I understand software testing but the issue I have is why do they show the telephony feature in the video and allow you to upgrade to the new UI update but then include all the other video features except telephony.

    Regardless of the answer, it looks like we will have to continue to wait for this feature with no clear ETA.

    You should be happy, you have at least been enabled to update to the new UI. I would be happy if I have had that opportunity at least! I assume they are still in beta testing and do not want too many users sending TRs.

  • @Ola I must not have been clear in my earlier posts. To my knowledge, presently anyone can switch to the upgraded UI. Simply do the following:

    My issue is why do they make the new UI available to everyone (or at least a large number of people) with a highlighted teaser video then do not make all the features in the video available to people that upgraded?

    They should simply remove the telephony from the video or don't add the video in a highlighted box next to the upgrade button so people wouldn't be expecting to have access to it.

  • According to Engineering, all phone numbers will be tel or callto links, so Skype integration should be easy. See Engineering's comment at https://support.insight.ly/hc/en-us/community/posts/202936410/comments/202757124
