Revert Opportunity to Lead

I see that I can convert a lead to an opportunity...

Is there a method to convert/revert an opportunity into a lead?

We like to nurture and recycle any closed/lost opportunities for future opps.

  • Unfortunately, there isn't a way to convert an Opportunity into a Lead; however I know other users have requested it so I have changed your request from Troubleshooting to Ideas & Suggestions.

Our product development team reviews all these requests. The more votes they receive the more likely it is to be developed and built in a future release. :)

  • You have my vote for this feature! Revisiting closed/lost opportunites is what we do as well. The ability to 'close' the current lead and yet keep the lead open for further contact would be great.

  • How do I vote for this? It is a much-needed feature?

  • Press the heart. The number should increase by 1.

  • Useful and needed, please consider adding this sooner than later.

Often a lead may be converted prematurely (or by mistake).

  • LOL, please have this function.  It's much needed.  Thanks.  How many votes do you need? Do I need to get a petition going on change.org?

  • Hi,

We have a requirement to copy all notes, activities and posts from opportunity to lead. As business don't want to use opportunity any more. Can any one had written some custom work flow to implement this functionality.

  • I fully Agree. We need opportunities into leads.

    Thanks

  • I completely agree. I really need this feature. Not allowing a process to move backward assumes that people never make mistakes and that potential customers never change their mind. All good workflows have exception paths to handle these scenarios.

    Thanks.
