Search tags on mobile app

Hi team,

It'd be great to have a feature to search/filter by tags using the mobile app. Do you have updates on this?

Thank you!

  • Only 2 days left in 2015. Any clue when this year these features will be added?

  • I was extolling about how great CRM was for artists to use in a large group setting. I mentioned that I used contact tags to sort other artists by medium and by where I met them so when it comes up someone is doing a show regarding X I can find all the artists I know engaged in X pronto. It's a great use of tags for me, but then when I was asked to demo it on the Insightly mobile app- there was no way to search by tag! Someone said- "well that's pretty much useless then." And bam, a group of 20 people who were practically ready to sign up for Insightly totally blew it off.

Moral of the story, please make the tags mobile friendly. Otherwise, for use on the fly, they are pretty much useless.

  • Yes, we do plan to address this fairly soon. Once we release Leads for mobile, and enable support of new custom field types, we will start working on a full redesign of our search and filters in our mobile apps which will include tag searching. So it definitely coming in 2015, but at this point its hard for us to commit to a month. Thanks for your suggestion!

  • We are still planning on adding this feature, but we haven't done so yet.

Thank you for your patience and feedback, everyone!

  • Jessica or Maria, What would be a possible work around for this?

We need currently have companies tagged by what products they purchase in addition to other sorting tags so many contacts may have multiple tags.

Are custom fields searchable on the mobile app?

Without this, the mobile solution is nearly useless to our outside sales members.

  • Hi Lyla, Nora and Brenda,

It seems like votes for the feature request to "add a search filter for tags in the mobile app" are diffused across multiple threads.  Can you please let us know which one is the correct post to "Up Vote" so that this feature request can bubble further to the top?  Some of these posts offer a link to vote... but that doesn't seem consistent across all.

    Thanks!

  • I agree. It's hard to believe this isn't a key feature yet. Is there an expected time till completion on this?

  • I have 3 major project categories that I need to filter by in the mobile app on my iphone. Is this still not possible? I was very surprised by this wall I have hit in managing tasks and projects with Insightly. Is this being looked into as a separate issue? These two issues of tags and custom categories on the mobile app seem to be ties together.

Any moves toward progress on this?

    Thanks in advance.

  • I would also like to add that it seems like when it comes to projects and tasks, Insightly is geared toward adding info when you are out in the field away from your main computer, but not at all focused on using that data when you are out and about and need to access it. Is this true? Insightly may not be a great choice for me if that is the case.

  • It's hard to believe this is done yet especially since it was addressed back in 2015. We are contractor and tag people by trade ie, painter, flooring, concrete etc. How can we search on the mobile app without this option?
