Payment Methods

Any plans to allow users alternative payment methods for signing up for Insightly? Like Paypal? even if there was a fee for the cost? Since myself and many clients it is far easier to handle it in Paypal, especially if in the UK and that is the only dollar account you can maintain feesably.

  • Hi Nigel:

What other forms payment would you like to see added?

  • Hi Lyla T

Because you ask for payment in dollars the use of a non dollar denomination card/acct means the banks levy heavy fees

I think you would find international use of your software would be helped by accepting payment in a local currency sterling, euros etc

As a fall-back something like paypal would be less expensive than using a non dollar card

I operated a small sales site and accepted cards in sterling and paypal.  I found paypal was by far and away the most popular.  When I changed to accepting sales in a number of currencies I found there was a positive response from those currency areas

  • The lack of Paypal could be a deal breaker for us - We never even thought to look to see if you do offer paypal, I mean everyone does it, even blogs and app writers. Banks here (New Zealand) charge at least 2.25% of the NZ dollar value on every foreign currency transaction - and it's probably a lot more than that. Plus it will probably attract the attention of the tax department and the list goes on.

You're crazy not to offer Paypal.

  • Two years since this was first mentioned on this post, and I'm truly surprised that Insightly still do not see the value of this as a sevice offering for their international community. I was informed that posts with more 'likes' are more likely to be implemented - but I would hope it would be implemented based on a value-driven business case, which would include votes but other measures too.

Is the value to implement - even just paypal - therefore too costly versus the service you feel it would provide to your international users where high bank levies are charged?

    Disappointed.

  • Hello insightly,

This request dates from 2015. Have you made any progress?

Our bank is charging hefty fees for international payment.

Can you allow us to pay with PayPal?

    Maxime
