Syncing Google Calendar with the mobile app

We greatly need the mobile app to sync with our Google calendar just like your online version does.Because we need to usually send clients or other employees to meetings we set, its necessary to use Google Calendar or access it through our phone calendar app. Since our sales team is on the street all day, they must be able to utilize your app throughout the day. it was one of the reasons we chose Insightly.

  • Hi Fritz - I haven't tested it, but doesn't it sync automatically if you have the Google integration setup on the online version?

  • @Fritz- The mobile app and mobile site do not have the full functionality of our web version as it is meant to be used as a tool to compliment Insightly The  Calendar will sync; however it will be with your own Events and Tasks. 

    If you are not seeing the sync or calendar option I would suggestion a manual refresh.

    Here's how to manually refresh:
    Scroll to the top of any category (contacts, organizations, etc.), touch the screen and swipe downward.  You'll see a brief message that the data is refreshing.

  • Am still evaluating whether Insightly is best for us.

    There is only an import to the desktop version.

    Also there are zero notifications from insightly on events.

    It is as if insightly are simply saying - use Google for the calendar you will get a better experience.

    I also am trialling another CRM and they import, send notifications each day for the schedule that day and before events (configurable) and the calendar can be viewed online easily including the Google imports.

  • I back the request for a full integration of calendar sync functions in the iphone App. It is kind of a dangerous concept to have a half way integration of data sets (right now only entries created in insightly are synced in contrary to the web app, if I understand and observe well).
    Absolutely 1+ for this optimisation request...

  • Please make this happen to where our team's calendars have full functionality between the mobile app and website/google/exchange. Our team is traveling on the road quite a bit and it is nearly impossible for us to keep track of our sales team's appointments and meetings if they can not update the calendar on the mobile app. Please make this happen, as we are a new member, but upon this discovery, upper management was not pleased with this limitation. Thanks.

  • I would also like to comment that having incomplete information on the mobile calendar is worse than having no information as this can lead to missed appointments or double booking.

  • these are all helpful --- the challenge is that when I enter an appointment or task in my Google calendar while it syncs -- it does NOT allow me to edit later on the desktop -- I have to go back and edit in Google -- this is cumbersome at the least

  • My tasks show up on the Insightly app calendar, but my calendar events from my Google calendar wont. They both show up on my Insightly calendar in the online version. How can I fix this so I can see what I have going on from the app?

  • I too would welcome the mobile version of the Insightly app to synch with the desktop version. As of now, I cannot rely on the app's calendar to show me my days/weeeks/months events. 

    Would also be great if I could edit items in the app.
