Reminders for Events

Hello,

I was wondering whether there is a facility to set a reminder for Events similarly to the 'add reminder' function under tasks.  I find it useful when scheduling appointments/events in my calendar to have the option to be reminded of the appointment a day or two prior.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Unfortunately, we do not have the option for reminders within Events; however its a great request for our Product Feedback & Suggestions. :)

  • I'm not getting ANY reminders via email when an event rolls around. 

    Nora, are you saying that Insightly doesn't do this either? I have a bunch of events scheduled for critical task reminders.

  • So no event reminders, only with tasks.

    But you enable date and TIME specifications for Events but not Tasks.

    Is there a list of enhancements or new feature releases being worked on.  Getting to the point where we are starting to see more of the limits to insight.ly, and less of the benefits.

  • Hi @mhertz, Events do not have reminders in Insightly. Don't forget to add your vote for this by clicking the arrow at the top left, next to Harry's original post.

    There is not a list of releases or feature requests that are being worked on that is available. Our Product team does look at the Community to help prioritize features so please continue to vote and add your requests. The information is important to us :)

  • I would also really like to have Event Reminders!  I am having to use tasks for annual reminders and now I have a monster task list that never goes away!  Really frustrating to figure workaround

  • Add me to the list of folks who would like event reminders. A calendar with no reminders is not terribly useful! A daily digest email of all events coming up for that day (sent at something like 7:30am) would be extremely handy.

  • I see Harry's request was made two years ago.  Is this in the works?  I agree that an calendar without reminders is a big gap.

  • Is there any update on whether reminders for events is something under development? I have an office full of Insightly users who are requesting this feature constantly.

  • Having reminders on events and tasks seems like a must have for a CRM. I'm considering moving events to tasks so I can set reminders and repeat reminders but that creates a whole other set of problems. Please consider reminders on calendars.
