Custom Dashboards

I want a 'sales dashboard'! I'm making it myself every month, with data from insightly, but of course, that doesn't make any sense, and my time is very precious...

So I think Insightly should  design a sales dashboard, because frankly, how useful is the 'home' screen actually? A dashboard will add functionality and relevance to the system. This could be a premium feature... 

I want to see, in a glance how my business is doing: how many leads came in this month, compared to the last 6 month, how many deals we've closed, how many offers were made... That kind of intelligence.

I can help to give input on usability and data: it's our thing :-)

    Take a look at this Creating a Dashboard Card tutorial video and the new Dashboards Guide for all the latest content.

    Default standard dashboard charts are displayed on every customer's account, and customers on Professional and Enterprise plans can make their own customizable dashboards & charts!

  • Thanks for the suggestion Mara. Our Advanced Reporting may be able to get you the necessary information you're needing such as the Opportunity that have been won or offers made.   • Something similar to Agile's dashboard would be amazing. Being able to customize the dashboard to what you would like to show up in like block form. I have attached a picture of Agile's dashboard. You can choose to have certain reports show up, tasks box, recent customers, current deals, events, charts, etc....

  • Insightly's lack of a user-customizable dashboard--or at least a worthwhile dashboard--is a huge problem for our team as well. I'm having a great deal of trouble getting key team member to adopt the program because it is hard for them to see the information they need in a user-friendly format. Now, a key team member is asking that we switch to another software. So, yeah, plus one for us on this issue and I'm disappointed to learn it's not on your immediate road map.

  • I'm real visual and want to "see" my pipeline at a glance: red, yellow green status, etc.  Please please please add a dashboard.

  • having a dashboard would certainly make the "internal sell" to co-workers far easier - we're all very visual creatures at the end of the day hence some basic graphical summary info would be great. Either by User/Group/Org etc.

  • Yes I agree on a new dashboard. I have been asked to switch or CRM for this reason.  Do you have a time line for new dashboard functionality?

    I've got your answer on your original Dashboard post but so everyone stays in the loop, the Insightly dashboard is the summary of your activities that you see on your home page. While a customizable one is not on our current roadmap we will keep our eye on this feature request to see how the votes - telling us this is a customer priority - are accumulating. Thanks!

  • A customizable Dashboard would be HUGELY helpful! I do a lot of software testing and workflow solutions consulting for other small businesses, and this feature would really put Insightly at the head of the class! I envision having drag and drop "module" boxes much like the Windows 8/10 tiles that you can organize and size to meet your needs, with each one displaying some part of one's data within Insightly. Even adding one that's a blank iframe capable (may be some newer, better format, I'm only techy enough to be dangerous!) module so people could do other things with it would be awesome. Kind of like what igoogle used to offer?

  • Brenda, I can't believe this is not really part of your current roadmap. The nucleus of any good CRM is the Home screen. And Insightly's Home Screen isn't really that at all, it is just a digest of everything that HAS BEEN done. What virtually everyone wants is a snapshot of what NEEDS to be done, what is in the PIPELINE for the FUTURE, not what HAS been done.

    And we don't want to have to build reports to figure it out.

    Does anyone at Insightly ask real users when they develop screens? Honest question.

    Thank you for asking this important question. The answer is yes! Our Product/UI team regularly conducts research sessions with Insightly customers - over the phone, through online meetings and face-to-face. The team also looks to our community to see what feature requests are trending and uses that as a guide to what they should consider next.

    I can tell that you're a very active user of Insightly. By chance would you be open to my passing your name to our Product/UI team? I'm sure they would love to add you to the list of customers who are willing to give us feedback.

    While a customizable dashboard is not on our roadmap for 2016, the ability to create a graph from advanced reporting will open up the possibility of considering more of a graphic "snapshot" type dashboard in the future. Thanks!

  • I agree with a dashboard that should be customizable with information needed.

    Having advance reporting and microsoft BI is good but those are extra steps to get the info we need. We need to have all in one place.

  • The so-called "dashboard" in Insightly is nothing of the sort.  I declined to use the program because I so disliked the dashboard.  I started using the program, because it is a great tool over-all.  This has my vote too as a high priority.  AgileCRM does a great job with this.

  • Would it be possible to integrate Microsoft Bi into the homepage? Seems like a quick remedy that would work. That would at least make the homepage dashboard useful. I'm not sure if this option is available.

  • yep this is a good idea. I am really shocking that this evolution is not a part of the roadmap. If you make a survey about how many people use the homepage it can be interesting... or just with analytic if you can see that..

  • I agree with Clement. I too am shocked that a useful home page is not on the road map.  I went through an extensive process evaluating CRMs, The homepage was a show stopper for me, until I realized the rest of the program is very good.  Maybe a temp fix is to give us the ability to select what our home page is.

    What will it take to get this on the road map?

    We get a lot of feature requests from our customers, and deciding which ones to work on can be a challenge since several are great. As a start up our resources are limited so we can't work on all of them.
      
    A few things that are taken into consideration when prioritizing items are:
    1. How frequently the feature is being requested by our customers
    2. How hard or easy it is to develop that feature
    3. How much value would be added with the addition of the feature

    The number of votes and time posted on our Community are just a couple of the things we take into consideration. Other considerations would be how hard or easy it would be to develop that feature, what is already in development stages or what value would be added with the addition of the feature just to name a few.

  • The current home screen is pretty much useless garbage IMO.  Nothing but a waste of good space showing you a list that is nothing more than a tracking log....it's NOT a dashboard, it's a usage Log.  Initially I don't care if it's even customizable, just having something that's useful would be a step up.
