Automatically linking emails/notes to all linked Contacts, Orgs and Opportunities

Currently, when I send an email or upload a note or document, it will just link at the contact level (or whatever level I selected). When I used Salesforce, as soon as I linked a note, document, or email to a contact, it would AUTOMATICALLY flow upwards into the affiliated organization and opportunity. This saved me a lot of time and made things much more clear for the entire team. If someone wants to know what is going on with a particular opportunity, they don't have to spend a lot of time searching- everything related is automatically there. I would like to see this functionality in Insightly.

  • I couldn't agree more! If I could link a note within the body of the note to both the contact and the organization, my life would be complete. :)

    Have exactly same feedback as Krissy's - you have to save note and then reopen it to link it - a simple box to link it when you create the note will save multiple clicks.

    Not 100% sure Sonali's idea will work since you may not want to automatically link a note to EVERY linked organisation / person - it may not always make sense (sometimes clearly it would work, but not always).

  • Plus one on that. When a client calls, my team puts a note under that client contact. I'd like to be able to automatically add the note to the project for that contact, as well. That way, when looking at the project, team members can see all of the notes from individual contact interactions, rather than having to hunt them all down by reviewing not just the project, but all the contacts related to the project. Thanks!

  • Similar request... only I have an additional issue: my emails are linking to MY company's Company Record. So, every one of the emails I send gets linked to the same Company Record... mine. Something is WORKING, its just the wrong thing working.

  • Would love to see this feature along with the "Add new link" field being an option when you are adding a note. When I add new notes now, there is no opportunity to link. I have to type my notes and save it and then reopen it to link it. Why not consolidate the steps?

  • Nothing worse than having to trawl though all the different participants in an email conversation to see what is going on. The only way to get the full story in any project is to have it all listed under the one organisation.

    Please provide this functionality in an upcoming upgrade.
