Customizable Dashboard

Would be great for insightly's home page to be a Dashboard and being able to customize what goes on the Dashboard. Something similar to Agile CRM would be really nice to have. I have attached a picture. Having current deals, tasks, calender, logs, ect...all in one shot view would be very nice and helpful.

Hello folks! - the highly anticipated Insightly Dashboards are here!

Take a look at this Creating a Dashboard Card tutorial video and the new Dashboards Guide for all the latest content.

Default standard dashboard charts are displayed on every customer's account, and customers on Professional and Enterprise plans can make their own customizable dashboards & charts!

We are thrilled to bring you this feature and hope you like it.

  • Insightly's lack of a user-customizable dashboard--or at least a worthwhile dashboard--is a huge problem for our team as well. I'm having a great deal of trouble getting key team member to adopt the program because it is hard for them to see the information they need in a user-friendly format. Now, a key team member is asking that we switch to another software. So, yeah, plus one for us on this issue and I'm disappointed to learn it's not on your immediate road map.

  • I agree a dashboard like Agile CRM would be very useful.

  • Essential! What is the timeframe to add this, and what kinds of changes are you making to the user interface? It is very outdated.

  • Hi all:

We've added an integration with Power BI that could work for segmenting your data into visuals or dashboards:

  • The Agile Dashboard is a nice feature for a quick morning snapshot.
I also agree the user interface is dated which is an ongoing complaint from our staff.

Using a third party solution like PowerBI goes against our goal of having all the data accessible in one central location.

  • This is a must have, both to have a dashboard for instant view of future (opportunities and tasks) and recent past data (closed opportunities and tasks) to observe trend lines.  The other critical need is for customization of the screens.  Too much scrolling and clicking to get to information.  Examples are:

I know the organization and to find the right contact, I have to look up the organization name, click on the screen, scroll to the bottom of the screen to see the contacts, then click on the contact to see the phone number and email address and then edit the email address to copy and paste the address into Outlook.  Too much time and clicking.  Can you put focus on the screen so I can just hit page down after the search is complete?  Can you allow us to customize the screen so the links for opportunities and contacts can be instantly visible?  How about adding Contacts and Opportunities where Tasks and Emails appear at the top?  Can you allow us to customize the display of the contact so we can see the phone number and email address (for example) and be able to copy the address?

I want to see my pipeline so I click on the Opportunities icon and what I see is a list that does not have the hyperlinks to the organization or contacts to which they are linked.  So I have to click on it to even know which one to open or I have to type a bunch of redundant information into the Opportunity Name.  Once I open the Opportunity I am still required to click on the screen to scroll to the bottom of the screen to see the links.

LINKING takes a lot of time, make it easier and more visible, please, pretty please.

The problem is, no one wants to have to go to Power BI to get their CRM info. No one, period. Everyone wants it to live in the CRM. Power BI is a great tool, but having to rely on it to get my dashboard view in Insightly is very disappointing. Not to mention, Power BI takes time getting used to. It's a skill you have to develop, this is not good for user adoption.

Insightly is one of the only CRM's that offers the specific Lead -> Opportunity -> Project workflow that our company needs. The only thing that has kept us from spending money on many licenses is the fact that getting custom dashboards is SUCH A PAIN.

I am now using the New User Experience for Insightly and it has been a great improvement. That said, role-based dashboards (sales manager, rep, etc.) should have come with the new user experience out of the box. I would GLADLY pay more per month to have this feature.

If or when you do decide to make this (which I don't know why you wouldn't because it is standard now in just about every CRM) you need to seriously look at the way Agile CRM does their reports and dashboards. They are SO EASY to use and configure for each team member. In a matter of seconds, literally, I can have a sales manager board built and beautifully spaced out for ease of reading.

Too long? Didn't read? : Insightly, make easy to use, customizable user dashboards and model them after Agile CRM's. Do that and you are the best CRM on the market IMO.
