Tag team or user

It would be really nice to be able to tag a team or user in a comment or for an uploaded file.

When I upload a file it would be nice to be able to tag the user who needs to follow up. The notifications settings will not work as the users would have to follow everything and get notifications on everything to be certain to get pinged when needed.

Kindly,

Rasmus

  • This could be useful for internal communications Rasmus, thanks for the great suggestion!

  • Lyla, I think Rasmus is really onto something here. Your developers should look into Ryver - essentially a free clone of Slack - and it is extremely useful! This would be a great addition to the project and task management side of Insightly.

  • Insightly really needs to add this function!  Frequently, I will add Projects or Tasks, but I need a way to add other colleagues to "following" the Project or Task so they can receive notifications about activity on it.  An example would be a customer technical inquiry - the sales person for the customer should be kept informed about technical communication.

  • Has there been any progress made on this request? Slack is not enough. We need to be able to tag team members on (at the very minimum) tasks and notes, so that they receive a notification any time there are changes in Opportunity or Project details.

  • This is an absolutely necessary function!  The problem with tasks as a communication tool is it is not logged and accessible from the project page.  The problem with notes is it doesn't notify any of the users.

  • We would be still very happy about a tag-function!
