Quickbooks integration problem

I have installed and uninstalled the Qickbooks integration several times and I do not get the QBO logo at the top of my Insightly pages as promised. Therefore I do not get access to my new customers. My online version is 1.0.1.26. I purchase this so it would work with my online quickbooks. If I cannot get it to work I will cancel. I see others have had problems with it too. Mine is not the self employed quickbooks. Its too bad because you have the most reasonable price. Your support is so slow too. I emailed 2 days ago and received nothing. Another problem is I had to sign into this support session with my FB account as my login would not work here.

  • Hi, I'm currently trialling QBO and on a free version of Insightly whilst testing if both application are working well together before signing up with both. I'm wondering if I can access it with the free version of Insightly as I have an issue and can't connect with QBO application - see screenshot:I've contacted QBO and they are investigating. I'd like to know from Insightly end if I can have any advice / assistance.

    My apologies that I wasn't able to reply to you yesterday. I appreciate you being here to express your thoughts and to give us the opportunity to clear things up!
     
    When Mitch started this thread back in December, it attracted other customers who needed help with their QuickBooks integration. We were so grateful for that posting because it gave our customers a central place to post that they needed our help! What we quickly found, was that each issues was separate from one another -- some customers were experiencing connections issues, others permissions issues, and still others data issues. So we took each issue and resolved them one by one. It was the last of these customers who were receiving new "error message" that Nipuna was referring to when she addressed everyone who posted earlier in April that the issue was fixed. But we completely see how when she used the term "everyone" that could have be interpreted that it took us 4 months to fix.

    Now that the team has also completed work on a major backend improvement, our developers are available to jump on an integrations issue even quicker than before. I have also talked with our Integrations Manager who is 110% committed to making sure our customers get their issues resolved in a timely manner.

  • I also paid for Quickbooks online in order to integrate with Insightly and do indeed see the Quickbooks logo on Contact and Organisation pages but am unable to connect the records. Insightly doesn't retrieve any records no matter what I type. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the integration from Insightly and still can't get it to work.

  • I have just noticed that my Quickbooks Link is NOT working.  I type in the name FROM quickbooks - and it says that is can not locate the account?   Has there been any resolution?  Just a fantastic option - when it works that it quickly becomes something relied on.

  • Hello Insightly,

    I was not getting any more feedback from my QuickBooks Online (QBO) when I was using my Insightly. So I disconnected my link between QBO and Insightly from with in Insighly's system parameter window with the hope to reconnect. That first step was easy.

    And when I tried reconnecting to QBO (from with in Insightly) I kept on getting this error message...

    * I have hiden my email with in the image for privacy reason

    I google the error message and followed the links to the «Intuit Developper Site». I also followed advises from other QBO users who were getting the same kind of error. So, I connected my QBO account to the site with the hope of disconnecting the Insightly app from within the «Intuit Developper Site». Unfortunately there was no lost connexion that were idle and waiting for an intervention to disconnect them.

    I also found this link from Insightly's KB. In my case, when I went into my QBO file, the Apps section and then into «My Apps», the Insightly App was not there. Therefore no button to allow me to disconnect!

    Can you help me reconnect to my QBO from within insightly?

    It is Martin again. I wrote to you guys in this same post under Directeur (see above). We really want Insightly to work for us. So we created ourself a new trial account to test and see if the Quickbooks Online issue was resolved or is still present. Unfortunately it is still present, Our Insightly account cannot connect with our QBO. Can you look into this issue again? All in all, we still get the same message as above. Even if we have a new account!

    Everything that my post relates to (See Directeur post) is still present. We are able to partly connect to our quickbooks account. There seem to be already an insightly account associated with our Quickbooks account. It prevents us from completing the connection between Isightly and QBO. That make the final integration step fail. We cannot locate which QBO account is already connected to Insightly. We went into our admin account in QBO and there is no sign of the Insightly apps present and therefore noway to dissociate Insightly from our own QBO file. From your end, can you manually disconnect the link between our Insightly and our QBO accounts?

    This is still open and being investigated by our product team and we will update you in this post once there is more information. Turning off the integration within your Insightly account disconnects the the link between the 2 services completely.

  • I am having the same problem. I came to Insightly because of the QBO integration. I get to the place where I authorize the integration and I always get an error message. If this does not get resolved, I'll need a different CRM.

    Your QuickBooks Online records do not sync into Insightly but you can link the records from the 2 services together.

    When creating links the system will search through your QuickBooks Online records for a match in organization name for organizations, and contact name or email address for contacts. If a match in QuickBooks, you would need to enter the name in the search box to link the records together.

    J'ai moi-même eu ce problème. J'ai tout essayé. La connexion avec QBO ne fonctionne tout simplement plus. J'ai interpellé le support d'Insightly il y a de ça quelques mois. Je vois beaucoup de personnes leur mentionner le même genre de problème. J'avais essayé l'intégration dans le passé et ça fonctionnait bien. C'était même cool de pouvoir voir toutes les transactions de mes clients et avoir un CRM à la fois. J'ai attendu et ils n'ont rien fait. Depuis, je suis très déçu de la manière dont Insightly gère cette problématique. J'ai migré vers un autre logiciel web, ZOHO CRM. Ils ont même une plateforme avec 10 licences de base sans frais. En passant, il y a aussi Method CRM mais il n'y a pas d'interface français! :(  La transition a été brise cœur. Mais ça fonctionne très bien avec mon nouveau logiciel web. Bonne chance.

  • Hi @Martin - Sorry you feel that way. I see that you were working with our Support team to resolve the issue but opted not to continue troubleshooting. The error that Marie is getting is not exactly the same as yours.

    Hi there @Marie - The error message you've provided in your screenshot is actually being returned to you by QuickBooks Online (Intuit), I recommend contacting them to see why they're not allowing you to link Insightly.

  • @Martin - Merci enormement pour les commentaires. C'est vraiment dommage car j'aimais bien Insightly mais je n'ai pas des heures a perdre a faire fonctionner ces deux systemes ensemble. Ce commentaire tombe tellement au bon moment!!! Je vais jeter un coup d'oeil a ces deux autres CRM et je souhaite les lier a un systeme soit Quickbooks ou au Xero en deuxieme option. Merci encore!!!

  • Hi Marie - Hopefully QuickBooks can clear up their error message for you soon. While Insightly does integrate with QuickBooks what you are seeing in that window comes directly from their service and we don't have the visibility on our end.

  • Hi Marie-Helen and Lyla, we're getting the same error message trying to connect Insightly to QB. I have been on the phone with QB and the tech helping me seems to think it's something not right on the Insightly side making the integration not work and thus prompting the QB error. Eager to get this resolved as this would be a very hand tool for our company.
