Evernote

We have 4 users on our account. If I connect Evernote under my username, can other users then access my Evernote account to add notes from their? I am concerned that because I have linked Evernote to my account, other users in my organization would have access to sensitive material in my personal Evernot account.

  • My understanding is that your Evernote connection is tied to your user settings so that only you can link notes to a record (and then see all the available notes). However when somebody else looks at a record they can see the note that you have linked.

  • Just wondering, does this hold true for Admin users too? I have a lot of stuff in Evernote that is not work related, so I would like to be 100% sure that access to my Evernote notes will always be restricted to me alone.

    Thanks!

  • Each user login connects to their Evernote account. They are able to see and link any note in their account but only those linked notes will be seen by others.

  • Thanks David. So I guess, unless a sinister admin appropriates your account, switches your password, logs in as you and starts ferreting, you should be okay!

As an Admin, I'll avoid doing this :-)

  • Hi All, this all holds true for me, however I find with the Evernote notes I link other uses can see the text, but they can not see the photo's.  I assume this is because Insighly does not copy the photo's over but draws from Evernote online? and if the Insighly user has no underlying rights in the evernote account then they can not see.  Is this correct and how this works.  It makes this features quite limited in terms of shared information access in CRM??

  • Hi Sam,

I'm sorry for the trouble. We're looking into this to verify if the image should be appearing. I'll follow up here once we complete a bit more testing.

    I apologize for the inconvenience.

  • Hi Sam,

We did some testing with images and were able to see the images on our notes within Insightly can you try this once again?
