We are pleased to inform you that Insightly Power BI content pack went live in the Microsoft's Power BI Services gallery last week.

You can read about it in the Microsoft's blog post here.

Microsoft has fixed an issue of organizations addresses not populating into maps on Feb 10th.
    • If you have connected to Insightly via Power BI before Feb 10th, you would have to, unfortunately, re-connect to Insightly again and reload the content pack for this fix to appear. This means that you'd lose any customizations you've made to the dashboard or reports during the beta. Sorry about that. I am afraid that's the nature of Microsoft's Power BI content pack re-release process.
    • If you have connected to Insightly via Power BI after Feb 10th, you got the latest version and can continue using the content pack without having to reconnect it.
    Thanks again for testing.
And if you have any feedback about this feature, please don't hesitate to let me know in this post.

  • When I click on the link in the help guide to connect to Power BI, there is not an Insightly icon to click on on the Power BI website.   Is the BETA testing no longer available?

  • Hi Tara! The BETA testing is still available.

If you have already signed up with Power BI, when you go to our Power BI Guide and click the "To Connect to Power BI" link, it should put you right on the Insightly icon. Your screen will look like the screenshot below I just took minutes ago.

Note: If you do not have a Power BI account, then you'll need to complete the Power BI sign up first. After your Power BI account is created, then click the "To Connect to Power BI" link and you'll see the Insightly icon. Let us know if it works! Thanks!

  • Is this another tool that requires Office 365 for use with Power BI?  I am having difficulty with the site accepting my API Key and I keep seeing Office 365 mentioned in the Help section.

  • Hey Tara, no you should be able to sign up with any email account. No Office365 required. I will email you about your API key being accepted.
