  • Hi Rodney!

We don't currently offer this option as a feature. There are ways to manually enter this information using custom fields. This is a feature we're hoping to implement in the future.

If you find that you need to keep track of information that is specific to your business, and is not included in Insightly's default fields, any admin on your account can create custom fields to meet those needs.

Here are a few articles & a video for you to review:

  • I agree with Rodney.  There really needs to be a quick and simple way to log that the phone call was made and to insert notes.  Have to create a task and then complete it just to show a call was made is too time consuming.  If you don't create a task for the call then there is no way to run activity reports.  This is a feature ACT software had 20 years ago.  Can't figure out why there is no rush to implement in Insightly?

  • This feature would be very helpful. I currently feel bogged down by data entry with insightly when it comes to tracking my interactions with clients. An easier way to reference the last time a I texted, or called a client would be appreciated.

  • I agree totally. Why is it so difficult to log customer interactions in Insightly? If a note had a custom field capability i could log note types (meeting, email, call etc), but it doesn't so like others i have to log activity as a completed task, which is inelegant and clunky for users.

As for now, I'm looking into Toky, which can do call logging for you.
