History, more tracking

Hi!
So, the history tab is a nice feature, but it would be even better if it would track ALL changes. Or even better you could filter the changes. Why? My current scenario is that when I call a lead and he tells me I need to talk to someone else and she tells me that I need to talk to a third person, then I'm simply changing the lead name every time. Now, it would be nice to see the change log for those changes in names.

    Our organization faces the same problem. As requested earlier, it would be very helpful if we had an integrated activity log to monitor changes made by different users.

    I support the idea of having a record (history/log) of all user activity. This would enable administrators to keep track of user accounts and their activity.

    It would be great to at least see when/how often each user logged in.

  • In order for Insightly to provide a software app that enables its customers to comply with the GDPR, I would argue that this logging feature should be made available to all users. This feature will arguably be necessary to enable users to comply with their obligation to demonstrate compliance with the Regulation, as described in, inter alia, Art 5(2) of the law.

    I do understand everyone's desire to have this feature in Insightly. Please know the Ideas & Suggestions page is reviewed every few weeks or more to consider a feature for implementation.

    In the meantime I wanted to provide some helpful information regarding GDPR:

    • We now have an entire marketing page for GDPR (https://www.insightly.com/gdpr), 
    • We've updated our Privacy Policy and made some minor changes in product.
    • There is a contract called the Data Processing Addendum that you have to download, fill out, and send back to us. You can find this contract in the Privacy Policy.

    All GDPR info plus some new very helpful articles can be found HERE.

  • I agree with the original post. It would be really helpful to see a history of when a lead status is changed, along with emails and tasks in the "Past Activity" section of the "Activity" tab.

  • I'm flabbergasted. Am I reading this right? How is it possible that Insightly doesn't track when a user logs in?
