Enjoy everyone and feel free to provide feedback. Insightly thanks you for your patience!

  • I agree. I just went through almost 300 contacts and realized I added several dates incorrectly. Have you received any feedback on this?

  • No , very disappointed with customer support, as NO feed back from them.  I am now looking to another CRM system which disappoints me , as it's such a small feature fix !

  • I see. I too love Insightly and would hate to have to leave. Hopefully they will fix this soon. I'm not sure if the vote thing they are providing is working as we expect. I have put in over 8 different suggestions now but haven't seen any movement. Thanks for sharing PJ.

  • Any update yet? This American convention is infuriating!

  • We have only just started using this product and only have a handful of records, but already this is a causing an issue. Is there still no solution to this?

  • I just wanted to create a similar post when I found this one. There is already a discussion here: https://support.insight.ly/hc/en-us/community/posts/202824934-Date-Format-Options

We, as a team, are quite irritated with the missing option to change the time and date to the international format. This should have highest priority in the future development of Insightly. I hope their team takes this insatisfactions from (probably) all non US users serisously.

    Cheers

  • Hi all, any update on this issue. I am in the UK and we use DD/MM/YYY and I don't seem to be able to change to UK format.

  • I'm having this issue too - not being able to change the date format for custom fields also means that I can't use Zapier to bring this information in from Google sheets....

Can anyone from Insightly provide a workaround / sight of if this is going to be changed?

  • Just had the same question/frustration from our CEO.  I can see on this post that this is now 'planned'.  Can anybody from Insightly but a rough timeline on the release of this update?   thanks

  • Just another bump to this thread - I check to see if the "planned" feature has changed every week - it would really improve our sales meeting!!

  • There are over 7 billion people on the planet.  300 million of them use dates in MDY format..... meaning 6.7 billion peeps have their brains fried trying to use Insightly.

This should "see" the date settings from Google calendar and display dates in DMY format.  Either that or have Insightly do dates as DMY and upset 6.7 billion fewer potential users!

  • I just encountered this issue having created a report. It is painful to have to remember that the dates on the report are not day/month/year but month/day/year. This really is quite an elementary setting. There are other settings such as currency format or timezone but I was amazed that there was not a setting for date format.

  • Exactly the same annoying issue here. At least an event get the European format DD/MM/YYYY but the Insightly Events Calendar still showing the American date format on headings...

It must be extremely difficult for the devs to implement the change of date format setting since I see that this issue still unanswered for years now...

  • Did you get any feedback on this. Insightly team is usually responding tu such basic request.

  • I did.  And I suggested that a response is added to this post.  It's good news as far as I'm concerned but I don't want to steal their thunder or part with inaccurate information. :-)

  • Following Colin White post I was excited to read some good news.....but where is it Insightly? We have been a customer for 3-4 years, and this is still problematic for us as a non-US company. Just get it done, please!!

  • I have had one issue after another with Insightly but they are firmly fixed on the American user and not anyone else.

  • Dear Insightly team, the feedback from South African users is the same as from Europe. The reports use the American date format, instead of the local dd/mm/yyyy norm.

Kindly confirm if there is a setting that may fix the issue.

  • Hey Oksana,

At present, the day month year function of Insightly is based on the language in your profile. If you select English, it will default to the mm/dd/yyyy

The more feedback from our customers we get, the higher priority it will receive.

  • Hi. I have selected English language but still don't get the UK date format dd/mm/yyyy?

  • Hey Craig,

Apologies, the above comment was incorrect and has been edited.  Selecting the English language setting will default to mm/dd/yyyy, not the UK dd/mm/yyyy. We are sorry for the confusion.

  • Thanks Alex,

So how do I change the date to dd/mm/yyyy?

  • At present, the only way to change the date to dd/mm/yyyy is to change to a language whose country uses the dd/mm/yyyy. I understand that the UK uses the dd/mm/yyyy but this is overridden by the United States. This is an issue we are aware of.
