Can't use sidebar in gmail to save emails

Hi - I cannot save emails in chrome on a mac - it is driving me mad. Nothing happens when I click on save and add link. Any help appreciated!

  • Somebody on my team has the same issue but they are using Chrome on Windows. I wanted to take a look at which extensions that he had installed, go through them and disabling them to see if that made any difference but I did not have the chance to do that.

    I agree with David's suggestion above. Sometimes extensions don't play well together and turning them off one at a time can help isolate the extension that is affecting the Sidebar. We are aware of  this occurring with Boomerang and Ring Central and hope to find a resolution soon. Let me know if you find anything.

  • Thanks David and Lyla - I just tried that an no luck still. I can add new contacts but not save emails :( Appreciate your suggestions.

    I'm going to pass this along to be looked into. Will be in touch when we hear more. For now you'll need to forward the email to your Insightly email account and create the links.

  • I have the same problem. The orange button doesn't turn a gray. Nothing happens when pushing on orange button. Also Save and Add Link Button doesn't work.

  • Yes it was resolved yesterday . I am seeing my Save & Add Link button again and worked great yesterday.

    but today it's not working again. What is going on with this toolbar?

  • Same here... I can see it and click on the save and add link button but nothing happens. It worked until the day before yesterday though. Anything we can do about this?

  • just begin to try Insight. but cannot save email, after click that orange "in" nothing saved 

    we have two account one is sign in by google app, one is by email. which one we should keep?

    I'm going to have this looked into by our Engineering team. When which account are you logged into when saving the email through your Sidebar? 

    The main difference between your 2 accounts (standard and Google Apps) is the Gadget. This tool is going to be replaced by the Insightly Sidebar which you are already using :) If you need help sorting these accounts out Support can help you through a ticket.

  • Hi Frank, can you check that there are not any other add-ons on your Chrome browser? Some add-ons like RingCentral and Boomerang can affect the Sidebar features.
