For me, converting a lead means that lead became a paying client. However, in Insightly-speak, converting apparently means a lead is being promoted to an opportunity. For me, an opportunity is a business venture, a partnership, or whatever else, but it isn't simply the next level up from a lead. This means I'm unable to use Insightly's feature to convert a lead since that turns it into an opportunity, which isn't what it is. This is unfortunate because I'd like to be able to report on how many leads were actually converted during a certain time frame and selecting the "Converted" filter at the leads page does not give me that since again, I never used Insightly to "convert" them in the first place. I can create my own lead status called "Became a client," but then there isn't any way to filter all leads based on that status, so that's almost useless. Hoping Insightly identified a more elegant approach to handling this.
