Problem Linking to Google Drive

This just started.  For some reason when I try to link to Google Drive for a client Insightly freezes.  I hit the Google Drive button, and the prompt "Loading Your Google Drive" comes up. Then nothing happens and Insightly freezes on me.  I can import files directly and I can access already linked files.  Is there an issue?

  • Nora, thanks but I'm afraid not. Now the loading bar disappears after a couple of seconds but then the whole page freezes and nothing happens

  • I don't know if it's related but the filter option in the file menu doesn't even mention google drive but it does mention the others

    Thanks for your patience.

    By chance have you given Insightly Google Drive permissions?

    1. You can check by going to your Gmail and click on My Account

    2. Then click on Connected apps & sites

    3. Under Connected apps & sites you should see Insightly and Managed Apps. Click on Managed Apps

    4. From here you can see what you have provided Insightly Access to

    5. If Google Drive was not included click on Insightly and click Remove. You will not lose any of your information; but you will need to uninstall and reinstall Insightly in order to allow all connections.

  • Hello  

    I am also getting this problem I am unable to create new links to my google drive!   A "Loading Your Google Drive" comes up, but don't get any window pop as with other connectors.   The other connectors: to Box, Dropbox and OneDrive work fine as well

    Can you share screenshots of your Google permissions showing that Insightly is allowed access to your Drive? That is the most common reason for the behavior you're describing. Thanks for your help!

  • The prompt "Loading Your Google Drive" still comes up.I thought it might be that is was because Google Drive was not installed on my computer and I only worked in the cloud. After installing, nothing changed.

    When going to the apps management in Google Drive, I noticed that your app was greyed out. I imagine some communication went wrong so I deleted the app with the intention to reload it.  Strange enough there is no app from you listed anymore????.

    Please adjust your page https://support.insight.ly/hc/en-us/articles/204061154-Linking-to-files-in-Google-Drive if your app does not communicate anymore with Google or please clarify about the steps to take.

    Can you share a screenshot of what you're seeing and provide us permission to access your account? The issue the users above were experiencing was previously resolved and I'm not able to replicate a loading message for Google Drive on my test account.
