Can you find organizations without tasks?

Is there a way to see Organizations that do not have open tasks?  We are going through a transition with our support team and just trying to make sure we are not missing any prospects and customers for follow-up.

  • Hi Toni,

You should be able to click the Organization icon on tie left side of the screen to see ALL organizations.

I don't believe you can filter by Tasks or No Tasks but you can run a Report:

And I don't currently use them frequently enough to instruct you on running the report but perhaps someone else can chime in OR you can learn more about reports here. I hope this helps!

  • Hi Toni,

There are a variety of filters you can apply to Organisations - for example, based on date added or where no notes have been within specified time bands.   You can also filter Organisations in a wide variety of ways.

'Open tasks' is not a filter that is currently available, so can I recommend another approach? How about using the Advanced Reporting tool to filter and report in the way you wish? The reporting function also offers an array of other excellent options.  Screenshot below, and hope this helps!

    kind regards, Simon

  • There is a way to report for opportunities without open tasks, but cannot seem to find a way to find this data.

  • Hi Toni,

If you run the Advance Reporting Task Report as suggested, this should include the Status of the Task.   If this still does not fully meet your needs, then you can go a step further and create a Custom Report containing fields of your choosing.   So long as a field exists in a Contact, Organisation, Opportunity or Project record, then it should be possible to report on it!

    Hope this helps further!

    kind regards, Simon

  • I think I might have found what you are looking for. In Organization Reports, there is a report called Organization Activity Report. You will be able to filter out the organizations that do not have tasks that way I believe.

  • I am trying. I have found a way to see the organizations that have tasks assigned to them but I have not found a way to show the organizations that have no tasks. Let me see what I can find out.

  • Ok. I figured it out I think. Go to the organization report, then filter by incomplete task value is equal to null. That should give you the Organizations that have no value in the incomplete task value, which to my understanding is anything that does not have any value in the incomplete tasks so that should be any organization that has no tasks.

  • What I've done in the past is exported all organizations and all open tasks into Excel. Then you just have to do a vlookup to determine which organizations are not on the task list. Let me know if you need more detail/screenshots/etc.
