Bug in search for email recipients?

There seems to be a bug in the search function for email recipients. When I search for "gms" I get one hit:

If I search for "gmss", I get three:

Logically, that is not possible, since any record containing gmss also contains gms. So there is something wrong here.

I might add, in case it matters, that the two hits for "Daniel" are are two email addresses from the same contact.

Now, the other thing about this that "Daniel" should not be showing up at all because I have deleted the part of his record that included gmss. So there are two bugs in this ticket...

  • Hi Christoph,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We'll do some testing and follow up soon.

  • Hi Christoph,

I wasn't able to replicate this. When entering Gms or Gmss the same result "Tanja" was provided. Once you refresh your browser you shouldn't see "Daniel" coming up. Can you try this once again?

Are you testing this on my contacts? If so, the reason why "Daniel" is not coming up is that I have in the meantime removed the relevant text containing GMSS from Daniel's record. I added it back and tried again. And now he shows up again. However, he shows up both for GMS and GMSS as it should be.

Nevertheless, I want to emphasize that I was able to reproduce this consistently when I posted this. So perhaps it is related to the browser cache but then insightly needs to fix the way it uses the browser cache because otherwise users can never be sure that they are getting the correct results.
