Automatic link of Opportunities to contacts and organisation
Hey!
When I import opportunities to insigtly as a CSV file it is not possible to automatically link the opportunities to the respective contact/organisation, as well as to chose pipline name/activity task set and responsible user.
Even though I select all these fields during the import of the opportunities it does not link it automatically, but I have to do everything manually.
Do you know how I can save the problem?

Hi Silvan,
Have you imported the Organisations before you imported the Opportunities? Can you please clarify what you mean by "I select all these fields"
As well, here is a some information on Importing https://support.insight.ly/hc/en-us/articles/204061344-Guidelines-for-importing#OpportunityImport. If you scroll down near the end of the document, it discusses specifics of importing opportunities.
Hope this helps.
Hi Melissa,
I match all the table columns to the fields of insightly, e.g. description, name, address, responsible user. It then does important everything accordingly, expect of the categories mentioned above.
We do already use utf-8 encoding in order to avoid problems with special characters.
The values of categorical variables match to the values used in insightly, e.g. responsible user.
The confirmation email of the import doesn't mention any error.
We always start importing organisations, contacts and then opportunities.
Thanks for your help.
Hi Silvan,
"Does your import file have the same exact pipeline name as was entered into Insightly?" They are case sensitive.

I would LOVE to be able to link contacts to opportunities when uploading them. There are many companies that are contact and not organization centered that need this linking capacity on import.
