How to get user information associated with Insiighty api key?

Get API call for Users give all user in response, whereas i'm looking for the user information which is associated with the API key used for calling the Users api. This will help me to identify the user based on calling API key.

Is there any way to identify the current user making request, based on api_key used being used as part of authentication?

  • Hello Dattatray,

You can call GET https://api.insight.ly/v2.2/Users/Me. This would return the user details for the currently authenticated user. You can find more details here: https://api.insight.ly/v2.2/help#!/Users/GetUserMe

  • Hi Sushamna,

Thanks for quick reply, We are using stable version 2.1 of Insightly API for our Integration use cases. Could you please brief me, when latest Insightly API v2.2 will be as stable release.

Does Inisghtly supports Webhook in v2.2 ?

  • Hello Dattatray,

Even though v2.2 of our API is technically in beta, it is very stable at this point and I'd highly recommend it. It offers paging, has better performance, and has more features and enhancements. Many of our customers have already migrated over and it has about 70% traffic of v2.1 at the moment.

Supporting webhooks is on our roadmap, but it hasn't been scheduled for development yet.

Please let us know if you have further questions.

  • Hello,

Webhooks feature is now available! You can add it as an action in Workflow Automation for any of the triggers you set up. Please refer to this post for more details.

    Thanks!

  • Can webhook implement triggers like this: "when a contact's Email/Phone changes, then do xxxxxxx".
