Retainer Clients

I have a host of clients (contacts) that will continually use me for business. We are a creative agency and they pay a monthly retainer for the services.  I want to place their projects into opportunities but not every project will equate to the monthly retainer is there a process with Insightly to allow me to easily manage this process?

  • Hi Drew,

    I do the very same thing in my practice. I create activity sets for some or merely repeating tasks for the minor ones. If a big project, I may add a pipeline and trigger activity sets on change of stage. The new Workflow Automation feature recently announced is a huge benefit to automating some of this. I also use a lot of Zapier to connect to other apps.

  • This is very helpful. I take it you track the money in a different program so that your sales forecast are even. Correct?

  • I get paid in advance and by subscription each month via Woocommerce on my website and that Zaps over to QBO. I don't forecast however.
