Date Closed (Actual) field not reporting for LOST, SUSPENDED, ABANDONED

The Opportunities report (and Opportunities History report) looks like it does not report the "Date Closed (Actual)" for LOST, SUSPENDED and ABANDONED opportunities. Only for WON Opportunities.

Is this right? Can it be included?

We're trying to build up some dashboards, including historical performance. Without this field we cannot isolate retrospectively in what reporting period an opportunity was closed but not won.

Also, the last modified date in the opportunities history report is not (necessarily) the date closed. So this cannot be used as an alternative.

  • Hey Peter,

As of now, the Closed Date (Actual) is designed only for the closed WON status. This is because Insightly views "Closed" as the end of the sale, which is different from "Closed" no longer working on.

I understand the confusion for this and am happy to provide any further needed clarification.

  • Thanks Alex, I posted this in Ideas and Suggestions.

Grateful if anyone has a solution for retrospective conversion rate calculations. Work around we are using for clients right now is a scheduled report showing all opportunities status as at midnight last day of the month. By comparing reports we can see what was lost, abandoned, suspended that month. Not great, but using Airtable gets the job done okay.

  • + 1 for this and it seems like when an opportunity is "lost" it is closed. Mostly we are after the date the state was assigned. So for any assigned state can reporting provide the date the state was attached?

  • + 1 on this too! It doesn't make sense to me that in the Stage History, it lists a Suspended Opp as "Closed - Suspended" and yet the Actual Close Date is a different definite of "close." Perhaps you should think about renaming this field to "Actual Win Date" so it more accurately reflects what it means.

In that same Stage History area, it also shows the date the Opp was moved to Suspended, but I can't seem to get that date to show up on the report either. Is there any way to include that date field that I'm missing?

  • Hello Christopher and Cynthia,

Thanks for the feedback and vote!

If you can add your comments and votes to the main thread that would be really helpful. The main thread for this feature request can be found here. This way the more activity a request receives, the more likely it is to be considered for implementation.

    Thanks for your time!
