Setting up a password for a new user

 I have added a new user - which is a generic email/distro list for our team.  But I never receive the confirmation/invite email and when I try to go to the invite URL directly, it tells me that i have already logged in or that the email and password do not exist.  I have also tried deleting and re-adding the user, no luck.  I have tried using the "forgot password" link but again, no email arrives and nothing in Junk or quarantine.  I just want to be able to add this email/user and set a password.
